I understand the point of the Valkyrie in a ar15. With the ability to load standard mag length. But what does the 224 Valkyrie do that the 22 Creedmoor can’t do in a bolt action? Is it the availability of factory ammo or is there something I don’t know about?

What does the 6XC do that the 6 Creedmoor doesn't? What does the 6x47 do that the 6XC doesn't? What does the 6 Dasher do that the 6x47 doesn't? What does 6BRA do that the 6 Dasher doesn't? What does the 6 BR do that the 6 BRA doesn't?

Everything is a trade-off (powder used, barrel life, recoil, muzzle velocity, brass availability etc etc etc), if 2 cartridges are very similar then the trade-offs will be very small.

I kind of doubt the accuracy life is going to be that long but if there are examples of that, let us know.

There was a thread here on the Hide somewhere of a Co testing 224V barrels, was it JP?? and I think they gave cross section pics of the inside of the barrels, some barrels were going 6000 rounds IIRC, but it all depends on various things when it comes to barrel wear so....
