Looking in to ordering a GAP "Non Typical." Is the Templar action machined by George's guys, is it a Remington action with a Templar logo, or is it made for G.A.P. by a third party?

Excellent action. Have one on my 6.5 Creedmoor. It's one of the originals and they have been making upgrades since, like the 1 piece bolt/handle, and now they are better than ever. Don't heistate to get one.

These are great actions. Get one, you won't regret it. It is the smoothest action that I have ever cycled. I have one in a 308.

+1 on Defiance actions being GTG. They build our Rogue action and do great work along with being really great people to work with. I'm sure they do just as fine of a job on GAP's actions as well.

I just got the Defiance Defender action I ordered a short (stunningly short actually) time ago. Zowie, it is beautiful, smooth, and looks great. The FFL who received it for me is also a gunsmith by hobby and master tool and die maker by trade, and he was very impressed with it. I think that says alot more than my untrained opinion. Defiance was great to work with too.

They make signature actions for many of the big names on here...Roscoe, APA, GAP, to the particular smiths' specs. They make great actions.

Great action, smooth cycling, consistently centered firing pin, strong extractor, oversized bolt. I can't say enough about my GAP build with Templar action.
