What happened to Hornady Steel Match ammo?

I fed my 223 rifles a steady diet of that stuff, even fed it to more than a few groundhogs. I still have a couple boxes left but learning it's been discontinued?

Yeah, discontinued a while back, almost a decade ago I think.

It was surprisingly good for stuff like 3 gun.


I don't remember buying any, just getting cans of the stuff from people that didn't realize it was steel and gave it away for pennies because it wasn't brass.
