Hi Everyone,

I'm on the fence of keeping or selling off my MATEN (308) and was looking to see what kind of value a fellow shooting enthusiast sees in the rifle. In the even I would try to sell it, do you feel that it would be best to part out or sell the rifle in it's entirety?

Not trying to be an ass hole but it is only worth what you can sell it for. It looks like a good build with quality parts but it is still a Frankengun. As soft as the market is you might do better parting it out but that is a hassle. If I wanted to rid myself of it I would list it for 75% of what I had in it and be prepared to come off another 5-10%. That's probably not what you want to hear. I just depends on how bad you want or need to sell it.

Now is a tough time for selling "custom builds" or home built AR's. Your best bet would be to part it out as mentioned above. Even if you only shot it once, expect to get 75% or less out of what you paid.

Thanks for taking the time and providing your valued opinions on the matter. Nobody ever wants to really lose money, but I had my fun with it, so I don't feel that its much a loss at all. Most leisurely hobbies cost you some money and I've made peace with that. =)
