What is currently the best .338lm projectile being used? I would be running this in a AXMC 27" proof research barrel.

Tagging for interest. Started with Hornady 285gr ELD-M's but could never find the sweet spot, switched to Lapua 250 gr FMJBT-Lockbase and those were better, now looking at the Hornady 300gr A-Tips.

I am pretty fond of the new atip. The ogive to base dimension is the same as Lapua scenar 300 gr. My same load for scenar worked well and shot sub moa right off. Based on 100 yard zero the printed BC seemed pretty accurate as the correction at 700 yards from 100 was correct in strelok. And in my gun my best groups have always been with the 300 scenar prior to the atip.
