What is so hot about the AI rifles

I'm considering buying an AI rifle.
My first option is an AX338. Also looking at the AWM338.

What are your opinions about those?

I could not decide between an AI or bagder M2008. Choice is now done, I'm getting an AI... But which one?

Let me kwon what you think.

I have an AWSM .338 it is a great rifle, but I would buy the AX338 today if I were you. You can load the bullets longer. Mile High Shooting has 2 demo AX338s for sale here on the Hide at a great price, FYI.

There is nothing more reliable or robust, period. They also shoot as good as any of the custom built rifles I've ever owned. Super smooth 60 degree bolt, amazing trigger, smooth feeding. As long as you like the stock there is no downside.

I will say I cheaped out and built a M2008 instead of buying an AI and regretted it. Buy the AI from the get go unless you get a great deal on the M2008.

I'd suggest giving the crew at Mile High a call, that's where I've bought my last two AI's from and their customer service is second to none. They also have a very good deal right now on a couple demo AX 338's with spuhr mounts that will save you about $1500

The demo sale seems like a steal. If you're in the market, I don't think you can go wrong with that. Feeding that beast will be a different story.

If you reload .338 Lapua is not that expensive considering the cost of rifles and scopes these days. It would be painful if you are buying ammo for sure.

most definetly get the ax .338. i have the aw and it is a very good rifle but magazine limitations are a downfall when you reload...
