So true and this is how things happen and then people claim guns are unsafe. At least here there was no accidents but it could have been fatal.

Exactly. It's also the reason my mother in law doesn't own a handgun. She can shoot them, she just "killed" my wife and I 3 times the first and only time we've shown her how to shoot one.

That video is unbelievable. I'm glad it ended alright, but that poor kid's head could have been one of Gallagher's watermelons. That's just an accident waiting to happen right there.

I have never understood this, and constantly argue the point with ROs, other shooters, etc. Why not point it at the ground? It is better that a round eats dirt quickly, instead of sending it off to eat dirt somewhere else and not knowing what it may come in contact with along the way.

I find myself doing the same, and now I have no desire to visit public ranges anymore.

The kid needs his finger's breaking!

I am afraid I don't have much patience with kids like that; they get told something once, and if they ingnore the instruction, they have a new ass ripped into them...

I have upset one or two mothers having "interacted" with their little brats but funnily enough I've never lost any sleep over it...

You can NEVER get that one AD/ND bullet back after the trigger pull. No matter how much you wish. We need better instructors nowdays or folks with the sense to seek one out for initial training.

The guy showing him how to shoot and the guy behind the camera should be the ones to blame. They obviously have been to the range many of times. A new shooter does not know anybetter espescially if they have never been around a firearm before. With a litle situational awareness with comon sence from the new shooter would have prevented this. Just glad everything came out alright.

+1 The whole situation shouldn't have even taken place to begin with.

I especially hate how it was handled after the fact. The fella next to the new shooter shrugs it off like "aye no biggie" and the kid on the camera although he points out the fault wants to make light of it on youtube. fkn ridiculous!
