Rifle Scopes What optics for a light weight carry rifle

Jeebus,

counting ounces?!?! Leupold ultra-lite 2-7 if you like the name and price tag. Otherwise it's as I said, a numbers game. you'll have to do some serious research to compare weights and features if you are dead set on making every .oz count. Best of luck tho, let us know what you decide to go w/ when you make your choice.

I put a Zeiss Diavari 2.5-10x42 on my Ti 7-08 and added an elevation knob. I believe it is just about perfect.

if it's for heavy duty use i'd go with a glass reticle..... maybe a USO 1.8-10x36 with zeroing knobs ?

I like my Nikon Monarch X 2.5-10x44, very clear and keeps a good zero and returnable zero. Mine is mounted on an Rem. LTR that is in a hardcase in trunk of my patrol car and I have not had any issues with it changing POI. Got mine for around $900.

I bought one of the newest one from Scott and this little scope is awesome! It tracked perfectly, clicks are very positive and the glass is WAYYY better than my NXS 3.5-15 ZS MLR. Also my IOR dials a mil and a half down from my zero so it's like the PH's zero stop, I don't know maybe I got lucky with this one.

+1 that is one hell of a scope to have, hold on to it at least if it´s from the old line, the new ones are good but not as good.

Btw 2,5-10x is about as perfect range of magnification for a hoofed game hunting rifle there is.

Best regards Chris

Kahles with TDS if you can find one, blows most glass away clarity wise and light transmission. I own five and they won't be goin anywhere. I think they are 15-17 oz and with some tinkering and a flat shooter your good for killn to 600.
