The Civil war to some extent spelled the end of the original Republic and ushered in the era of the Caesars so to speak.
Woodrow Wilson is the one who made the coffin for the original Republic with turning over our money to the Global Elites and turning everyone into tax slaves and making citizens essentially assets of the government.
FDR basically tossed the Republic into the coffin and nailed it shut to the praises of all the stupid people.

Everything since then has been just pretending we aren't really living in an oligarchy ruled by the Global Elites.

We all want a political solution (ex: Trump and a huge Conserva-tarian majority in the Senate and House) because the only other option is horrible to even contemplate, but we also know any political solution- without radical reformation- is only a short term fix.

Any real correction will require the deportation of every Democrat/RINO, and illegal alien/visa overstayer/refugee, on U.S. soil. Then a complete militarization of our northern and southern borders for all time.

I am starting to think that the horrid option is really the only thing that will reverse it. We do need to remember that this is a long time coming. It did not start with Brandon, Carter or even FDR. I will go back and blame TR. Yup you read that right. It is really the fault of Teddy Roosevelt. If he had not said two terms, stayed on the R ticket and did not split the vote and allow for Wilson to win the world would be a very different place. There is little doubt the US would be very different. I am not sure he would have entered WWI, those that have seen war first hand usually are not so quick to rush into one, it is a nasty and messy business.

I suspect that much of the problem has been decades of vote stealing by Democrats. They thought they were getting Hillary in power, but underestimated how many voters were going for Trump. So the next election they went all out for the steal. Now the pendulum is swinging back, as so many persons now realize they have been lied to.

If we are lucky, Trump and the conservatives we correct much of the ability to steal elections, and our government will be much more responsive to the people.

Definitely many examples or historical events that have put a knife in the Republic’s back. We may not always agree on specifics but are all generally on the same tracks when discussing are downfall. What can we do to undo our current situation and reverse this pretty much unstoppable collapse of the Country?

We see it for what it is and gripe about it online and nothing changes, I wanted to believe that Speaker Johnson would hold out until the elections, what he has done we may as we’ll kept McCarthy.

How do stop from going further down the rabbit hole? Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, Johnson, …. we get it, all took a turn at denting the Country, by the time we get to biden it’s like a steamroller destroying our existence at every possible approach.

Trump? Whatever the opposition is planning for the future they have already taken into account his presence and how to maximize moving America forward under his possible second Presidency.

As others have posted, we are never going to vote our way out of this death spiral. If it is ever fixed it will only be done painfully and very bloody. The country will have to be purged of illegal immigrants. Liberals/communists/socialists will have to be expelled also. The black community will have to be forced to grow up, support the nuclear family and forcefully weaned off of the government teet. The current GOV would have to be reduced in size by at least 70%, or more. The military would have to be purged of activists, as would the entire US judiciary system. None of that includes the fighting between civilians, police and possibly military.
