I'm recently got a couple of new scopes, and I'm thinking about moving all of my scopes around.

I currently have the following scopes:
SWFA 3-15x42 FFP Mil
SWFA 5-20x50 FFP Mil Illuminated
2x Vortex Viper PST GenII 5-25x50 FFP Mil

The 2 Vortex scopes are new, not currently mounted.

The SWFA 3-15x is currently on a 18" AR15 SPR. I pretty much just shoot this rifle at the local range, goes out to 325 yards.

The SWFA 5-20x50 is currently on a Remington 700 in 308. I shoot this rifle quite a bit. It goes with me to the range about 90% of the time. I've also used this rifle in F-Class.

I have a large frame AR in 6.5 Creedmoor I've been putting together. Planning on using one of the Vortex PST GenII 5-25x50 scopes on this rifle.

I also have a Tikka T3x 223 Varmint in an MDT chassis, and this rifle needs a scope.

I'm thinking about pulling the SWFA 5-20x50 off the Remington and putting it on the Tikka, and putting the extra PST GenII on the Remington. That would give me a little more magnification for those F-Class matches, and still have a good optic on the Tikka. I'm happy with the 3-15 on the AR, and my plan with the 6.5 Creedmoor.

Does this seem like a smart move, or would it be a mistake to move the SWFA 5-20x50 from the Remington to the Tikka?

Whatever blows your skirt up....

But really, do what you feel like. There is no right or wrong answer. You can always move them back! You don't need validation from us to swap some scopes around.

Hell, anytime I need a scope I just stop by my Dad's and grab one off the shelf of doom (there is everything from a mueller to a sightron to a mark 6 sitting there). I put something on that I think fits the bill for zoom level and features, shoot it a few days, and go from there. Sometimes I swap between 2-3 scopes before I actually buy something. I do realize I'm spoiled, but my inheritance is going to be all in glass, rifles, and lead rather than money. I'm slowly aquiring my own pile of scopes that are sitting on my shelf that don't really fit into any rifles I have at the moment. It turns into buying a rifle to match the scope eventually.
