What Song describes

My youth? From the movie "Valley Girl" — Nick Cage before he dorked out.

And now? Dryly, without quite so much angst ...

Damn dude, that's the first song that popped into my head when I read the title.
However, it's not correct for me.
I do love the Dire Straits brothers in arms also.
Every time I listen to that song it gets dusty in the room.
Most everything in, Against the Wind, fits me, dates, age, present day friends ect. Only thing that would make it perfect would be to change her name to Donna.

Brothers in Arms,..... always bring back good an otherwise.

BA-DUM-CH!

Which part? The “like a rock?” Or the “30 years now, where did it go?” ?

Hahaha, I think this part. It sounds hawt...

My hands were steady
My eyes were clear and bright
My walk had purpose
My steps were quick and light
And I held firmly
To what I felt was right
Like a rock
Fuck yeah, like a veiny rock

Rthur.

those are some great tunes. just seen ZZ Top in Vegas on Jan 26. They sure didn't sound like ZZ Top from the 80's and 90's but still had a blast seeing them.

Right now today's mess.

Buffalo Springfield, for what it's worth
1967 song sounds like today's news.

Have not figured how to post audio.

Yes thanks.
I guess paranoia has set in.
Today they protest 2A.
They f up traffic and raise hell.
Cops not doing much.

I don't March turn over school buses light tires or trashcans and I no longer throw rocks.

I believe a decisive time of reckoning is near.

I was young when those protests were going on, I still remember black and white TV and bathrooms in some places.

Skipping the school buses and running home instead.

The next round will be more decisive.
