What the hell is this thing for?

a buddy of mine gave me a small white box with what he thought was a scope mount. i have no idea how he got it, but whatever. i looked at it, didnt know what it was, so i threw it into one of my footlockers and forgot about it for about a year. then i went looking for it to use on a scope for one of my rifles.

its not a scope mount. its for a vector im assuming, but i still dont know what it is since i only used a vector once or twice on the SMAW ranges.

anyways, its in a white box that says "Ashbury CLRF/LRTI-Interface Mount". its a big hunk of metal made to clamp on to a 1913 rail, and looks pretty complicated.

i tried looking it up online but couldnt find any info. im trying to figure out what its price would be so i can get rid of it since i dont own a vector nor do i ever think i will own one.

i figured someone here would know what this thing is.

Re: What the hell is this thing for?

yep thats me. thanks for the clarification on what its actually for, that was what my guess was initially. i just took a stab in the dark on the price, i emailed ashbury a couple minutes ago.

i cant imagine a very high demand for one of these mounts on the civi side. i may just give to one of my buddies and tell him to give to his units armory.
