Rifle Scopes What to ask for this Springfield scope???

I recently traded for this rifle package but I am using this rifle for a hunting set-up so have no need for this scope as I have a hunting scope already. Not usre what to ask for it so I thought the hiders would be able to help.

Its a Springfield Armory government model 4-14X56. It is a FFP scope. has an internal bubble level and ballistic retical for 1000 yards. I dont think its illuminated but I dont know how to check either. Anyway its in real good shape and the glass is super clear I just dont have a need for it.

What is a fair price I should ask?
I will be selling it here on the hide so I am not trying to rip anyone off but dont want to be taken advantage of either. Thanks for the help guys.

That particular scope is the Gen I Springfield scope. It is NOT illuminated. They are marginal scopes at best from my experience with them. I have seen some with fairly clear glass and others with a slightly yellow hue to them...sounds like yours at least has clear glass. The BDC reticle for the both the 5.56 models and the 7.62 models is a "neat" idea, but it doesn't work all that well and some models have levels that weren't level (brilliant...just brilliant). It is hard to get the reticle to match up well to a particular rifle and a particular ammo (although the literature says it is compensated for a particular bullet at a particular velocity...it isn't quite that simple).

All that being said...they seem to fetch a pretty penny on eGay, GunBroker, etc. for some reason. Gen I models are going for $500+. However, selling them here on the Hide isn't going to be that easy because people generally know the quality and issues with them and won't pay what the sheeple on the auction sites seem willing to fork over.
