the rifle i bought has a YHM Phantom flash hider on it and i want to take it off. Im guessing i should put a break on or something to replace it. I'm not sure if the threads are right handed 1/2" x 28 or left handed 9/16" x 20. Any suggestions for breaks? Or other suggestions?

PS-i would put a can on it but they are illegal in CA

Move away from Cali and buy a muffler.....LOL just kidding.

If you dont want anything out on the end, Just have a smith build you a thread protector. It will look just like the barrel if done corrcetly.

Its hard to say what thread pitch it is without some pics and calipers.

you can check the OD of the threads and tell if its a 1/2 or 9/16 , but you need a thread pitch guage to check correct thread per inch.

if i were guessing , i'd say that if the OD is 1/2" that the threads are 28 TPI , uness YHM made a one off unit
