I read the book and heard about the movie. It sounded like a great movie concept.
I also read how the official report was different from the book.
It may have been that Hollywood didn't want to create a movie about a true story, and then later find someone official and a publicly circulated "official report", saying that none of it ever happened.
I don't know why the two accounts are different, or which is true, but I hope it's the account in the novel, because it went better for US forces than the official report, which looked like a SEAL team getting Bushwacked in a close range ambush- pretty brutal and fast and pretty much totally one-sided.

Really the official report was that different?
I read and book and read up on the incident. From what I heard the only things that were different from the supposed incident and the book was perhaps there was truly no vote of what to do with the sheep herders and the number of enemy combatants.

On Lonesurvivor.net it says the release date is going to be early 2013. Can't wait if its half as good as the book.
