I finally got a chrono and was measuring some reloads i did. I was curious, what an acceptable amount of spread (hi/low) is for a single reload? I had a batch that had 61 FPS between the fastest and slowest..
for me its not how fast I can get it.I just want a bullet of choice to shoot the best I can get it to shoot.sometimes I get them to shoot at a fast fps but most of the time I am in the middle of the loads recommended from my Nosler book.
but if you are lookiing to shoot them out to 1000 or better you might want them to be a bit fast.this way they can hold a suppersonic speed for the trip down the range.even for a long shoot for hunting will recommend more speed.its just what you want to use the load for.then thats the speed you want.so you might want to tell use a little more about your loads and reason for that load.
