Hey guys I hope I'm posting this in the right spot.

I have a HS precision stock that is a 5R take off. It was properly bedded for the Rem. .308 SA. I had Kryloned it and recently stripped the paint. The stock it in great condition except for the finish. It seems that while stripping the old camo off it has degraded the factory paint. Being that I have $200 in the bedding and these stocks go for about $250-$275 on the hide. What should I expect to get for this stock or what is a good asking price for it? Can one usually expect a little more if it is bedded?

It's not for sale just yet, I'm just looking for a good starting point. If I do decide to sell it I'll list it in the PX section. Thanks.

Re: What's it worth?

assuming that every rifle is identicle, bedding is a good thing. However, since nearly all factory rifles vary slightly, it is reasonable to assume that the bedding may have to be removed and rebedded for a different rifle. I would not expect to get your money back out of it.

Re: What's it worth?

it sounds like it may actually be worth less than what the others are going for because of the finish. the bedding will not add value since it will have to be re-done for the buyer's rifle. if you are in no big hurry to sell it, list it for $275 obo. there may be no other ones for sale now and the right person may be willing to pay it. if you are in a hurry and you get no offers, lower your price.
