Ive got about 100 rounds that I loaded up of 115 DTACS in my .243. I had loaded them for a match, pushed them a little hard but I had got no pressure signs during testing. It wasnt until I tried reloading the brass I did shoot from the match that I realized I was stretching the primer pockets a bit. When I would put a new primer in, about 1-3 or 4 cases, the primer just kind of slid in with no tension.

So whats the best way to pull all these DTACS without going through a big pain in the butt? Ive got one of those hammer style inertia pullers but thats a pain to do 100 rounds with.

I use, and really like the hornady collet puller.

If you set it properly, it gets a good grab on the bullet and won't leave a mark.

Way WAY better than an inertial puller when you've got a bunch to pull down.

Good advice. Got the same puller.

The impulse types are good for onsey twosey SNAFUs. They are inexpensive. I have used a couple that don't like magnum cases also. If you have several, it's best to use the Hornady cam lock bullet puller. The downside is that you have to purchase a collet for every caliber you want to pull in addition to the puller.

Check out a new product that just came out. It is called the Grip-n-pull. I just bought one at a gun show over the weekend. Works amazing, better than either collet or inertia puller and faster too without hurting the bullet. Go to you tube and type in grip n pull and you can see a demonstration.

I have been watching for a deal on a used press-mounted puller and figured I'd try something. I put a loaded round that I seated too deep in my press, raised the ram, then gripped the bullet with a large pair of channel-locks with rubber jaw covers (from Sears I think, they should still make them). Lower the ram, works like a charm. I did 4, I will try it on some old 223 that needs pulled down, that may show me the need for a real puller
