Suppressors what's up with the wrap ?

i'm new to the world of suppressors and was wondering why so many of the suppressors that i see in pics and videos have some sort of cloth wrap on them. it's not like it's being used for camo since the rest of the rifle is bare. just curious.

I have one of these:

It reduces the mirage and allows you to grab and remove the suppressor without using gloves.
