Starting with new lapua 3006 brass. 270 form die-2506 form die-2506 ai neck die with no expander.

Should I anneal after I fire form this brass or after I neck it down?

    Thanks

The brass is new and comes annealed.

If it was annealed before the resizing wouldn’t the brass get crushed?

Size it down to right before last size. Ideally .010 at a time. Then anneal, and do last sizing. You may have to turn necks sized down that far.

I substituted my bushing die for the neck die and the resizing is a lot smoother. There are no longer bright spots on the neck where the neck die shaved some brass off.

    Yea
Bushing dies are pretty bad for forming brass.
Why is this? The bushing die did less damage to the brass than the neck die?

I only used the bushing die after running the brass through the 25-06 form die.

Sorry for so many questions. I am still learning after loading all my life. This site kicked me into overdrive and kindled my OCD.
