Where is the future of precision products heading?

I am curious as to what "technological breakthroughs" we will see in this industry in the next 10, 20, 40 years. Honestly, what are some things you expect to see?


For example, I expect to see night vision and thermal optics to decrease in size and cost until they ultimately included on optics such as reticle illumination is now.

I expect to see "video" or "digital" optics to be put in to wide and common usage.

any optics with electronics will become smaller,lighter,cheaper,and more common.Scopes using lasers with automatic crosshair adjustment will be standard,making regular scopes obsolete.Simply enter your ballistic data and do a 200yd zero.The scope will take over from there.

How about ultra flat and fast moving ballistics that hit the 3500 meter mark with ease? Small short lightweight handy SBR's that can go to 800-1000 meters and CQB without changing a thing on it.

Why have programmable optics when you will have programmable projectiles?
