The Chief nodded in agreement.

The official continued, 'Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?'

The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then calmly replied, 'When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex.'

Then the chief leaned back and smiled. 'Only white man dumb enough
to think he could improve system like that.'

In our American Indian race, we do not call ones selves "Buck" or "squaw". Its a slang word. Not good. Go back to square one. Be good. One of the great thing in our Navajo lanuage as I'm sure of many others Native Americans Tribes is before the Whiteman came, and one could drink water from _Any stream or river,there was NO slang or cuss words. As the Whites settled in ,the Natives Americans had to invent new words for the Whitemans goods,and ways of talk,hence the invention of cuss words. But the cuss words are used very sparing today.

Hence the term "husbandry" which means essentially breeding and raising livestock.

Never knew squaw was a negative word.

Grew up in Arizona. Arizona has a lot of Indaians...I mean Native Americans....sorry.

I will add it to my list of words not to offend sensitive people along w/husband and stewardess.

Being "anglo," I can't think offhand any word that would offend me.

I have been skiing at Squaw Valley before.....

Maybe they should change their name.

Purgatory Ski Resort changed their name so it would not be so offensive or have negative connotation.
