My experience is rather dated, but loaded for a 22" 1895 ~30 years ago with Lee Sizing and seating dies, Dillon powder die and funnel/expander and Redding profile crimp die on a 550. Did jacketed and lead bullets and some pretty stout loads to mimic Garret hunting cartridges.
IIRC my reason for the Redding crimp die was Lee didn't offer a Factory Crimp Die in .45-70 at that time and have never been a fan of seat and crimp in the same die.
