I am anxiously awaiting to arrive new Sako TRG 22 dark earth from Euro Optics. Which muzzle brake would be be optimal in noise and recoil reduction, between Near MFG and factory Sako ?
A muzzle brake is going to do the exact opposite of noise reduction, with that said id recommend sending it to Jered @ American Precision Arms and have a Little Bastard installed.
Thanks for the input I have considered sending it off to have suppressor compatible brake/ adapter installed. I have considered GA Precision but I will also check with APA Arms.

Since this is a brand new rifle, does the barrel have to be removed from the action to install the "Fat Bastard"?
That would be awesome! I've only seen the Euro Optics professional pics so an "in person" picture would be great. I am in the market for the identical rifle. Any chance you have the Sako model/part number? Probably something like JRSM### I am trying to get a local dealer to price one for me but can't find the right number and he is not so Sako saavy. It's not a special color run just for Euro Optics is it?
Not sure how APA does the brake but since the rifle is factory threaded I wouldn't think they would have to remove the barrel. The Sako brake threads on and then has a set screw to secure it so if you go with the factory brake and don't like it you can always send it out to APA for their brake.
I have both the factory brake, and Richard Near's of Near Mfg's brake. The Near Mfg brake 'feels' more efficient to me, but who knows. I typically don't shoot with either anymore, if anything I throw a can on when allowed.
I've shot a NEAR side by side and on/off with TRG22 and 42. The NEAR is better than factory Sako. In addition, I've shot an Elite Iron MaxTac and it was superior to all three. http://eliteiron.net/
Or try Roedale. http://www.roedale.de/
