I am trying to work up the load for my 6.5 X57 it is a brand-new sour model 90 hunting rifle. I was wondering which bullets to start out with and maybe a load. I have had this gun for 15 years and never shot it. Now I have gathered up all of the dies and brass I am looking for a starting point. Any help is appreciated.

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you are on here, I would assume you want to reach out a ways and smack something. that usually means heavy-for-caliber bullets. Check the twist of your barrel. If it is at least a 1-9" (better yet 1-8"), you will be wanting 140gr. If it is a 1-10" like my 6.5-06AI, you will be limited to probably no greater than 120s. Your Sauer, I'm betting is a fast twist. The Euros tend to like long bullets, and it takes a lot of throat length to fit them in the chamber and a fast twist to stabilize them. I have shot both 100s and 120s and the 100s do shoot flatter out ot 1000, but will have more wind deflection also. There is no free lunch.
For a good start for load data, I use Steve's Pages. http://stevespages.com/page8c.htm
He is a Montana boy, and he has gathered more info about load data then anyone I can think of. He will have good data on your cartridge with most bullets and powders available. Start there and have fun with your "new" rifle.
P.S in my experience, "slower" powders seem to work better than the "faster" ones. I would start no faster then IMR4350 and go slower, if you like.
