Which bullet does the military use in 338LM sniper loads?

It depends on where they're getting the ammo from. Most of this stuff is contract ammo and the projectiles are subject to change. Right now, I can tell you that we're sending a good bit of our Lock Base FMJ rounds to this sort of thing, as well as a couple specialties (AP and API) that aren't available to the civilian market. Their are various OTM bullets that are also approved for combat use (and the SMK is one) that may also be used if specified on the contract. Like I said, it varies, and there is no one answer here.
