My Ruger Gen 2 16” has been pretty accurate with everything I’ve put in it so far. I’ve got a load with 100 eld, 123 eld and 107 smk. The bullets cost the same per 500 pack. Any reason to run one or the other? Seems the 123 being slower still carries more energy and velocity further down range. Both loads are printing .4-.68” groups.

I’m not going to mess with the 100’s anymore but my loads for the 123 and 107 are:

    123- 2350 fps
    107- 2515 fps

Here’a the dope charts for both.

How far are you planning to take them. FWIW, I can only go to 600 and shot a pile of the 107 SMK (always with 8208, AA/Lapua, and either a CCI450 or Wolf SRM). I've always had great luck with the 107 SMK or 108 Scenar though for best accuracy a 120 SMK or preferably a Berger 120 BT.

probably 400 max 90% of the time. But have access at my work to shoot 700+ from time to time.

I’m with Spife - try the accuracy on paper at 400 and you might find one shows more consistent than the other. Either way a factory rifle printing groups like that at 100yd is awesome.
