Which monopod?

Re: Which monopod?

Not sure, but you could set your rifle up on a level surface and use some books or something to prop the butt of the stock up until the barrel is level. Then measure from the bottom of the butt of the stock (or wherever the monopod attaches) to the table. Then make sure you get the monopod that has right length. You'll want to be able to go over and under the measurement that you took.

Re: Which monopod?

I tried a monopod with my PRS and found that I couldn't keep the gun as steady as with my fist. I don't know if others like monopods or not. After trying one though, I can't ever see buying one again (especially considering that to put one on my SRS will cost me $500).

It could be that I was using it wrong. Who knows.

Re: Which monopod?

I have the accu-shot BT-12 with the Quick Knob on my DPMS/PRS rifle and I'm very happy with it. I chose that model because it can be folded out of the way quickly when it is not needed. In my opinion the quick adjust knob is well worth the extra $.
I will say that there is not as much height adjustment as some people might like (about 1" between highest and lowest), but for my needs, it has been more than adequate. Just be sure it has enough elevation for you.
Good luck.
