I have searched, here and elsewhere, and read up on what I could find. Until now I have used Leupold bases/rings on my rifles, but I am now attempting to get into the big boy game, not just deer rifles. Does it make a difference which rings I get? I have looked at Badger, Seekins, Spuhr, and a few others. I this point I am just leaning towards looks, because it seems all will work just fine. I just sold a set of FN rings that I am kind of regreting, but I dodn't intend to use them until they were already gone. What the hell should I get??

Re: Which mount??

I have Leupold MK4, Badger, PRI, A.R.M.S and TPS. They are all great quality, if you are looking for good value I would say TPS, they are well made but don't seem to be as robust as the MK4 or Badger, if I needed to buy something today it would most likely be MK4.

Re: Which mount??

The Seekins rings don't have the large bolt, they have a sleek design and have allen screws. Take a look at them, they are really quite good, close to the best. As for base, EGW makes a fine picatinny rail and it's fairly inexpensive and works just fine.
