Which of these 3 choices of powder for 6.5 creedmoor would you recommend?

I'm almost out of my H4350 so I'm picking up some new powder, either Accurate AA4350, AA2700, or AA4064. Does anyone have any recommendations on which powder would be best?

Accurate lists loads for AA2700 and AA4064 below, and the AA4350 which I obtained by giving them a call:

4064 140 HDY A-MAX 33.9 2,332 37.7 2,591 58,810 2.740
2700 140 HDY A-MAX 37.8 2,432 42.0 2,702 58,550 2.740
4350 140 HDY A-MAX 39.2 2,500 43.5 2,800 103% compressed load (Obtained by calling Accurate)

These were shot out of a 24" barrel. Currently with H4350 I'm getting velocities around 2800fps @ 70 degrees F from my 26" barrel.

Go with the AA4350 if you can't find H4350 but if you haven't looked recently you might want to as H4350 has been hitting the shelves in alot of places.

I used imr4350 in my creedmoor when h4350 was out. Worked good, old load was 42.4 gr h4350; it took 41.5 gr imr4350 to duplicate. It did show some temp sensitivity, but it also had alot wider accuracy node. I had a load that ran 2850 that bugholed and another at 2740 that put out good results. It was 80* during testing, never got a chance to mess with it when it got to 105*. It did shed about 25 fps when the temp got down to 60*. Also shoot it in a fast twist 243, did good there and also exhibited the fairly wider node then the h4350 . Now i have 25ish lbs of h4350 but will still use up my 8 lbs of imr4350. It is nice to have backup data if i get caught with my pants down again. Now i need to figure out what to do with the 10 lbs of Norma203b i got, maybe my 6 br with heavies...

Yup.

Check the local shops - after a drought going back to January all across town, one of the big shops here got what they said was a 2000 pound shipment last week. A week later, they still had Varget, H4350 and other in-demand powders still on the shelves at reasonable prices in 1 and 8 pound containers. I think the winter is bringing the light at the end of the tunnel closer.

TwoNiner,
Did the Accurate rep indicate if that was a 58,000 psi load or a 62,000 psi max load for the AA4350?

Thanks

I have reduced my powder choices to IMR-4198, IMR-4064, some Varget, and H-4350. At current retail prices (I am paying between $33 and $35 per pound), a pound of each per purchase is about my limit. I shop about once each month in person, and can usually find my needs.

I have come to trust IMR-4064 for a lot of applications, from .22-250 to 7.62x54R, through to .30-'06. It's my opinion that unless one is pushing max, temperature sensitivity is less of a concern for my loads; which tend to run at least 100fps shy of potential peak velocities. Decades of load development and match shooting have convinced me that as long as the load arrives on target doing at least 1300fps, more velocity is not needed. If I can't achieve that without blatant pressure signs, I need a more effective chambering. I consider .260 (as well as 6.5CM), .280. and .30-'06 to be highly adequate for 1Kyd shooting.

For out to 250yd; I like .223, 7.62x39, and .30BR.

My Savage 10FCM Scout 7.62x39 has a .308 barrel, and is probably accurate enough with 125gr SRA Pro-Hunter bullets for deer hunting to distances that exceed that cartridge's terminal performance capabilities.

H4350 seems to be staying in stock long and longer, made 2 trips over the course of a few weeks and picked up a few pounds of H4350 out of the same lot. Now, if we could just get some federal large rifle primers in stock all would be good.
