I "HAD" 2 ARs. One I kept was 5.56, one I sold was 9mm.(never shot it, 1 range trip is all.
I have 2 red dot type scopes. I never had, not envision having NV equipment.

I have an Aimpoint CompM4 and an EoTech 511. The guy who bought the 9mm AR didn't want either one.

I like them both. I have no problem with either optic.
They are both in Larue QD mounts. They both are near new and both perform flawlessly.

Which do I keep and which do I sell? Or keep them both?

Thanks
Patrick

Re: Which optic to keep?

I'd keep both. Keep it so if you ever get another firearm that you would like to put a red dot on.

Or if you were to let one go, I'd let the eotech go. Aimpoint has a much better battery.

Re: Which optic to keep?

Thats all personal preference. No need to have two, just pick the one you shoot better with and keep it. Aimpoints are allegedly more reliable and definitely have a longer battery life. I have an Eotech on my 16" AR, and like it fine.

You might think about selling the Aimpoint and getting a 3x flip-to-side magnifier for the Eotech, one of my shooting friends runs that and he loves it.

I do have an aimpoint on my .22LR bolt action squirrel gun, so thats also an option.

Re: Which optic to keep?

Keep both as long as you can...either will be worth more later than now. When it's time to sell, keep the Aimpoint...that's a no brainer for me.

Re: Which optic to keep?

If I were you I'd keep the Aimpoint. I have tried all kinds of red dot sights. Anything form Eo-tech, Trijicon, to Aimpoint. The Aimpoint seems to have the best battery life and be the most durable in my opinion. JAA
