I just purchased a savage 10FP .308 and am trying to decide on some glass for it. Its gonna be a range gun. I want to shoot it from 300 up to 1000yds. I really want to keep it under 1k$. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Why don't you stretch your neurons <span style="color: #000099"><span style="font-weight: bold">deadly</span></span> and give him some search parameters.
<span style="color: #000099"><span style="font-weight: bold">Chip01</span></span>, I'm not qualified, really, to recomend optics. Howeverm I'll do it based on I know what I like, and I know what a few of the guys that post on here like.
One of the major optics to consider in that price range are the Super Snipers. Of course you can drop down to a Falcon or a WOTAC. Use those in the search parameters <span style="color: #000099"><span style="font-weight: bold">deadly</span></span> so kindly provided you with.

In that price range I'd wait a few months till the new Vortex Viper PST's are out. They're FFP or SFP with matching turrets and reticles.

Maybe LL could put an <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="color: #000099"><span style="text-decoration: underline">Optics Sticky</span></span></span> up that addresses that question, and a few others that are asked ad nauseum...

Thanks for the replies fellas. I will definetly do some searcing. I have 56mm leupolds on my hunting rifles but I wanna go with something different for this gun. Definetly a tactical scope high in power.

Here are some very good scopes in the 1k and under range.

Leupold Mark 4 4.5-14x40mm and some time we will have the Mark 4 4.5-14x50mm M1 for just under 1k.
The for a really low price you can look at the Leupold Mark 2 / Mark AR, Burris Tac line, and Bushnell.
