As of right now I have swaro el 10x42's and Leica 1600b rangefinder set up. I'm thinking about picking up a used Leica 10x42 3000 HD-Bs. As of right now I take the environmentals from the 1600 and plug them into Sterlock app on iPhone. I'm also picky on glass quality and won't sacrifice glass. I use my binos 99% of the time glassing for animals and then use the rangefinder when needed so I don't want to sacrifice quality binoculars just to have a integrated rangefinder. At the same time I like the idea of having everything in one unit.

for those that have used the Leica HD-B vs El glass are they on the same level? Would you sell the el's and 1600 and buy the 3000's?

I don't think there is any way the Geovid glass is as good as EL, but I have never seen them. I have Leica Ultravid and it is almost identical to my buddy's EL. Geovid is a lower tier glass as I understand, price certainly makes me think so.

I have thought about all in one, but won't give up glass quality either. I made the mistake of glassing throughmy buddy's EL...

I also decided having it separate for hunting was better. For hunting, I run my 12x50 Ultravid and the Sig 2400bdx that links to my Garmin 701. I like that redundancy for out in the field. Both can give me good hunting dope. It is a super easy system to run.
