Enough bite for a solid grip, but they don't tear up my side when I am CCW

Aliens or Gatorbacks are good choices for range work.

Moer aggressive would be the Operator 2's and Recons. Less aggressive would be the Frags, ETC, 320's etc.

I use the Aliens on my pistols used for range work and have the Frags and Frag ETC on my carry guns.

I have Operator IIs on several 1911s. I thought they might be a little too aggressive, but I've used them for a couple of years now and still have all my skin.

VZ II's! If you have delicate snowflake hands(j/k)

, you can always take a fine nail file to the tops. I love 'em, and put 'em on every 1911 I've got. Oil, sweat, grease, etc. resistant, and they look great too!
