Between a POF, Sig 716, and DPMS G2? This would be mostly for range use, with occasional hunting.

Not a Sig fan. Just don't like the way they feel and recoil.
POF makes a fantastic rifle.
I bought a GII SASS and have been nothing but impressed.
For what you are looking for I would grab a GII Hunter. Great price, versatile hunting rifle, fantastic accuracy off the bench. A local I know bought one, had it threaded for his can and shoots the lights out with it. The target he showed me was one ragged hole at 100 yards.

Out of those three, I'd also narrow it down to POF and the G2. Based solely on my personal preference related to operating controls id choose a Gen 4 POF over the G2. I may also be biased however as I do own one. That said, I am extremely pleased with it in every aspect.
The POF would be my choice.
