Whoever is actually running the country is doing a masterful job of destroying it. Biden is happy to read from the teleprompter in exchange for his pudding treats. Kamala is incompetent, but would run the risk of trying to assert her own rule. She serves as insurance to keep Joe in office.
Seriously, do we have a list of the most likely people driving this train wreck? Certainly many of the cabinet and SES types are veterans from many pre-45 presidents, going back to at least WJC and probably GHWB. Add in Pelosi, Schumer and whoever owns the rest of the congressional leaders (K-street). Toss in the usual bankers, heavy hitter donor$ and if course Xi/Soros'/Schwab etc.
Think about it. All those potential string-pullers. Do they have a Zoom meeting every Sunday and transmit it to Rice, Blinken, Yellen, Milley et al? Who writes the daily talking points for AP to dish out? Ron Klain? Who gives him marching orders? BHO? Who gives him orders?
Or are we really seeing some leaderless rule by committee, where further and further left ideas are trotted out and nobody dares criticize them? The country has enough organizational inertia that it would keep lumbering along for a year or two, until the catastrophic decisions cascade to the point where the ship of state goes over the falls and is destroyed on the rocks below?
