I have been through several mics for measuring case neck thickness only and want to spend the money to get a good one that is digital for my aging eyes...a lot of the tube mics have too thick a head to measure 223, etc. Repeatability is important...any ideas appreciated...

Check out a Mitutoyo 0-1” Digital Tube Micrometer. You’re gonna pay for it, but it’ll be more accurate than you need it to be, and I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
