Since I don't bother much with the movie theater these days... I've been delving into lots of the classics... just re-watched Who'll Stop The Rain, with a very hot Tuesday Weld, a young Nick Nolte (who deserved an Oscar for this) and Michael Moriarty. Lots of other characters you will recognize including Hill (or Renko) from Hill St. Blues and a couple of jailbirds who were in half the movies of the '70's.
The plot is about Vietnam-era heroin smuggling and corrupt DEA agents... with a Creedence Clearwater Revival soundtrack that is just first rate.
The gunfight at the hippie hoedown is a classic piece of film-making... I'd never watched it on a large-screen TV before. Makes all the difference during some of the culminating scenes. Turn the volume up on this one and enjoy!!
