Im headed to the indoor range to get some trigger time on my comp. pistol .
Bringing my AR withe the CMMG .22lr conversion to do some up drills too .
Range goes to 25yds. so I'm good to go . Only thing that sucks is when it gets cold or weather goes to crap there is an hour wait or so .

    PP or RAF?

I was able to go yesterday with a good friend of mine. My first time ever shooting past 600 yards. Also my first rounds through my new Valkyrie build. I was shooting factory ammo and didn't bring my chrono so Strelok was giving my some wacky numbers passed 600. I was able to dial it in and hits were easy up to 825. The farthest target was at 935 and I was having trouble with the swirling wind down there. I managed one hit though.

So glad I got off my nuts and went . There was a short wait ao I figured I'd windoq shop and BAMMM . 8lbs of Titegroup for $140.00 . I asked if I could deposit and pick up next week and they told me they'd pull it . Just pick it up next week .
    Saaaweeeet .
    Edit : that translates into 16,000 .147gn 9mm at 3.2gn .

Been out dry fire practicing. Suns out so I've got decent mirage, wind gusting to about 10mph otherwise nice day. Getting ready to go set my targets up and do some shooting before the sun goes down. Lucky to have 300yds to shoot right here at home.

There arent even groups in that hot mess and that is only 100 yards. I gave up on the last 10 or so rounds and just started whacking a 10 inch round plate.

I knew the load wasnt liked much by this rifle to start (41.8 of IMR 4064 with a Nosker CC 175, WCC 13 2X fired brass, WLRP) but this was way worse than I expected.

Oh well no excuses. Dont blame the rifle its a hammer with 42.6 and a 168 or when using FGMM but I just think it hates those 175 Noslers.

Ill be loading some 175 SMKs in the near future.

Oh well it was a day of shooting any how.

Shot my first NRL22 match today.
Didn't do the rifle justice but started getting a baseline dope.
    22's don't like 20-30 degrees so much.
Shot with some old buds and had a blast.
If we could have added two others we'd of had the whole band back together.
I'm thinking this rimfire game is going to be epic.
I'll wager it'll grow as fast as any other practical style discipline.
I'll get some pics loaded up soon.

We shot yesterday. The new 6.5 Creedmore load did not do very well so I went back to the 140 Bergers. Pulled the Tooter Meredith 308 out and shot the 178 Amax at 422 yards which resulted in a 1.4 inch 5 shot group on the steel target at 2746FPS average with Lab Radar. Varget powder and this gun just shoots lights out. I know it's just a 308 but it's a hammer!!lol

Spent the afternoon with a friend that wanted to learn to shoot a pistol. Never fired a round, took about three hours going over safety, finger, muzzle, guns always loaded, etc. etc. Then basic gun handling, draw, grip, sight focus, loading, unloading, reloading and some dry fire. At the end of the session he was handling the firearm like a champ! Gave him some dummy rounds so he could practice what we went over. Googled Leatham, Vogel, they have some great videos on gun handling. Next week we'll go out back and do some live fire.

Shot the Texas Precision Matches January 22lr match in Cawthon on Saturday with my older son. Took my wife and younger son to American Shooting Centers to plink on their “Varmint Village” steel range Sunday. Not a bad weekend.

I went out with my 6.5cm. 100yrds with a new powder. 35.3gn to 38.7gn and reloaded 17 and 140gn sierra hpbt. I forgot batteries for my crono. The book says 2600fps. Next week I will step it up to 43gn max.
