I'm 33 and realize that the left, nor the right give a fuck about any of us. They pass laws daily and never strike any down.

They rob you through taxation.
They grandstand constantly.

They basically break your legs. Provide you a wheelchair and then asked to be thanked, because without them, you wouldn't be getting around so well.

I've been telling my family and friends"my kingdom is not of this world." Been told to fuck off a few times lol. Agree though. I gave up Instagram and Facebook last month, and that definitely helped with all the political stuff getting rammed down my throat.

What you say is true about Democrats and Republicans. If thats what you meant by left and right, then fine.

But when I think of left and right, its more ideological sides than party sides. And there are clear sides to this argument ideologically. One side wants collectivism, socialism, communism, etc. That side is pure evil. The individual means nothing to them, and power is everything. The other side stands for freedom, morality, christianity, and the individual.

I pay attention to politics because the lives of my children literally depend on it. That doesn't mean we currently have many representatives in government right now, but that isn't a good reason to put my head in the sand. Thats how evil wins.

However, if when you say "the other side." I think one of the biggest atrocities to the constitution and democracy was done under bush and a right leaning senate with the patriot act. It decimated the 1st,4th,and 5th and a slew of other problems. Nothing about the patriot act is moral and is the biggest violation to freedom in my lifetime. Did Trump give a shit a oit freedom, when he said "take the guns first, due process second."

There are no sides my man. They both collectively rail you with no lube...

Let me pose a question to you. When trump was in office they had the Senate. They could have done a shit load of good. But now that they don't, nor do they have the presidency, they try and pass bills to abolish sales tax and a bunch of other shit that will never happen, to give you the illusion that they care about you. None of them do. They say they do...but they don't.

You for get one very big thing. When Trump was in office, the R's had the senate. Now you already know the R's and the D's are just two different rails of the same train track taking you to the same place. Ukraine should prove this to all past any doubt.

There is a term out there, RINO. Republican in name only. This is usually something reserved for the likes of Romney or McCain. It can go the other way as well. Trump is a RINO. And before you go off the rails ask yourself is in lock step with Mitch McConnell? Or Paul Ryan. Paul Ryan the speaker at the time took his ball and went home after trump was elected. Does that sound like they are on the same side?

Personally I think trump knows that a real third party is a non starter, it did not work for TR, do you really think it will work for Trump? You know the answer, so he put an R on his name as it fits with what the R's SAY THEY STAND FOR.

Trump was opposed at every turn. It is amazing he got anything done.

Now why do I watch politics. You got quite a few "fun" answers here like know when to buy more ammo. But we must watch, both sides want everything you know to come from one of the major sources, sources that they control. Again look at Canada and how they handle their "free press". The only thing throwing a monkey in the wrench is this darn internet thing. Free speech is something that will kill anything they have planned. They must control everything. Why do you think Musk, a darling of the left till he bought twatter. He made those great electric cars and all. Perfect for the very corner stone the left has built everything one. But he went off the res. Free speech is just fine as long as you say just what they want you to say.

If you don't watch might as well hand over the keys to everything to them, that is what they want in the end.
