Just started looking for scopes and like the vipers but no one seems to have them in stock. Are they that popular or they just didnt make that many.

Re: Why the shortage of Vortex Viper PST

Basic economics...DEMAND (VERRRRYYY) HIGH = SUPPLIES LOW.

Scott and the fine folks at Vortex are cranking them out in the best numbers that they can at this time. They are excellent scopes that offer features that are simply unavailable on most other scopes without spending more money so the demand continues to be great and the supplies go quickly when they hit the shelves. Check with the numerous Hide vendors that usually carry them and find out 1) if they have what you need; and 2) if they don't, when they might expect one and if you can get in on a pre-order.

Third Generation Shooting Supply happens to have a few in stock but not all models.

Try Primary Arms, I just picked up a 2.5 X 10 PST.

This. We've never been able to keep these in stock for very long, no matter what model. The 6-24 FFP MRAD or MOA, and the SFP MOA have been especially tough to keep up with. Vortex has *none* other than what is retained for warranty claims. ETA on these *right now* is 4 weeks
