Will a Surgeon bolt knob fit on a defiance deviant bolt handle??? I need/want a longer more aggressive bolt handle. Has anyone tried this?

It should. I believe both are the somewhat standard 5/16 x 24 thread. I called Defiance maybe two weeks ago and asked them to simply leave my knob off as I was going to add the Surgeon knob. Norm didn't mention there would be an issue...He should know.

STILL waiting for my action, but I DO have the knob on my desk! LOL.

It will look like Crap but it will fit. Surgeon bolt handles are designed specifically for Surgeon Rifles, they may possibly bit on Bighorn actions, but they were never designed for Remingtons, Winchesters or the majority of custom actions. You will have an excessively long bolt handle that will bind the crap out of the bolt manipulation.

Mark beat me to it. A friend just had a rifle built on a Defiance Rebel and wanted to use the Surgeon Pineapple bolt knob. Just like Mark's pictures show, when we went to put it on, it would have been a porno length bolt knob that would have got caught up on everything.

We use the bolt knob from Jered Joplin at American Precision Arms. In my opinion, its the best fitting bolt knob on the Defiance action platform. Jered actually uses a similar bolt knob with a counter bore that brings the bolt knob closer to the centerline of the action for the fastest bolt manipulation and throw.
