Rifle Scopes will any other turett fit a huskemaw scope.please

Re: will any other turett fit a huskemaw scope.ple

I seem a guy on tv (some hunting show) shoot a bear at 915 yards with one shot after a 2 day hike. All he did was turn the elevation knob to the range and squeezed one off. I have heard in the hunting community that they are super good scopes. For hunting.

There is a whole world of difference between having a rifle/scope combo that can reach out there & being the kind of shootist who can consistently pull that shot off.

The thing I find terrible about that show & the clowns that then sell over priced rifles & heavy Chinese scopes is they give the impression that all you need do is buy their shit & you will magically have the ability to kill animals at ranges that I'd call mortars in on....

I killed my own cow elk this year at 658 yds with my .338LM but only after spending years fine tuning my own very basic skills at LR shooting. I don't consider myself any kind of real LR shot & I'm surely not as skilled as many other folks here are.

A bear at 915yds deserves a lot more respect than these guys give them. All the shooter had to do was exhale a little hard & he could have easily wounded the bear & who's gonna do the follow up on that one? I went up the mountain after my elk at close to dark & found her with a few directions via radio from my shooting partner at the firing point. Ain't so easy to do that when the animal is a helluva lot further away & can kill you.

I think the BOTW show & the gomer presenters make too light of what is a blend of science & art. For that, they need a kick in the pants, at least, IMHO.

Regardless, I take it you already have a Huskemaw optic & you want another turret so you should prolly call the guys you got it from & if they can't help, then try http://www.kentonindustries.com/

There AXXMAN, a bunch of answers. You never divulged the reason for needing another knob, or, why you couldn't get BOTW to laser-engrave another one for you.

I got booted off their forum for saying much the same thing: a magical scope does not a great shooter make. They liked my contribution so much they deleted it and canceled my account, so much for wanting to talk shop with someone who knows a scope isn't the answer to every shooting problem.

A moron who can't shoot will spend $1000 for a gimmick scope that instantly gives them the skill of Carlos Hathcock: marketing is everything.

Just ask the makers of Countersniper scopes.

Dude, I have elk hunters show up to my classes with those scopes. I try to explain the issues with a dedicated BDC with environmental factors but they just say they will buy the extra turrets and re-zero everywhere they go.

I hope the conditions never stray from their applied turret.
