I have a Barrett 95 with a 27 MOA rail and forgot it was not a 0 MOA rail when
I purchased a Larue 50 BMG scope mount that has 30 MOA built in so now the two = 57 MOA
When the old scope was on it and zeroed at 100 I clamped the gun down and put the scope on bulls eye at 100 yards then
removed it for the Nightforce install this way I can get a close 100 yard zero with the new scope
After mounting the base and scope I dialed it in just to see if I would have any bottom end MOA left and ended up
with 15 MOA left and about 120 MOA for adjustment up or you could call it top end.
I have used many 20 and 30 MOA rails or scope bases for long range guns but never 57 MOA
Would I have any negative effect with that much MOA rail and base combo and only have about 15 MOA adjustment down with the scope ?
