will "palma" brass work in my 5r

I have a stock remington 5r in 308. i saw this lapua brass that uses a small primer in a 308. can i use it in my gun? why do they make it with a small primer?

Yes it will work, not sure it's necessary. There was a recent thread that indicated that. IMHO I would pass. Buy the brass with the LR size primer pocket.

Yes it will work in your rifle. They make them with small rifle primers to increase the consistancy of the spark. My guess on that is the smaller charge allows for a smaller divation. They also have a smaller flash hole, something to remember if you are going to try to decap them with a large rifle decapping pin. Enjoy the link brought to you by "GOOGLE"

Save yourself the headache and stick with the regular Lapua brass. It is very good brass and after using it, its easy to see why everyone recommends it.
