Will this scope fit?

I will be getting a lightly used Sako TRG 42 in 300 Win Mag in a week and I am hoping my 5.5-22X56mm Nightforce scope will clear the barrel. It does have a 25 moa Near base if that makes any difference. What do you think, any potential problems? Scope has medium Nightforce light weight rings.

I have a NF 8-32X56 on my TRG 22 and am using an ADM Recon mount with 1.5" from rail to optical center of the scope and it clears my barrel with some room to spare. I don't think with medium rings the scope will clear the the barrel.

I have the 42, in 300 win mag, with a NF 8-32 on her. Europtic set it up for me. I never measured the rings to see what height they were. I'd just call THEM and ask. All nice guys.

If it doesn't fit, buy higher rings, they make more everyday.

leadbullet I wish I was made of money as the Nightforce rings are $200 a set. They are .885 low but they do fit fine on my Steyr SSG 04 in 300 wm so I am thinking they may fit on the TRG 42 with Near rail. I do not see why they would not fit except the Near rail points more downwards than the Steyr rail.

I do plan on selling the Steyr for $1750 and not because it is not extremely accurate (only sighted in with 20 rounds, and it only took four rounds to get on paper with a 3/8" group that followed) but I just like the way the Sako TRG 42 looks. As an Industrial Designer looks means maybe more than it should but that is me.
