My measurements using online info says the following:

base = front height .410"
rings = center height .82"
scope = outside bell 2.26"

so...

.410+.82 = 1.23"
2.26/2 = 1.13"

should fit with .10" clearance, right? good chance i messed it up somewhere. just looking for a second set of eyes on the math. thx.

Re: will this scope/ring/base setup clear the barrel?

Hello Muscles,

I'm afraid you're going to have less clearance than that, but you should still be fine. Our bases are .410" at the rear of the base, but at 30 MOA, they are sloped forward by just under .009" per inch going forward. Assuming that your front bell is around 9" forward of the back of the base, you will lose an additional .070" to .080" due to the forward slope. Luckily this ignores the fact that the barrel is tapering down, and is nowhere near full receiver diameter out near the front bell.

thanks for the replies. if i do end up with clearance problems, i'll swap the rings for some mediums. i ordered the setup above, and it'll be close.
