Yesterday in the news is that Two and a Half Men will try on its ninth season without Charlie Sheen. "Amid Sheen's last-ditch pleas to cast, Lorre has told Jon Cryer this reboot would involve a significant role for him and the introduction of a new, yet-to-be-cast character." more at:

I like watching the show as background noise two on a night with one new one a week. I one of the few shows I actually have re-runs on in the background when doing something else. Is sad to see Charlie depart the show this way. There was definitely a melt down (substance induced?). Charlie's road show failed big. Seems both sides should try to make up for the fans of one of the top comedies on TV - to continue to cash their huge pay checks. In time we will see if Chuck's show becomes successful without Charlie.

Charlie filed a $100 million lawsuit against Lorre and Warner Bros. TV, which produces Men for CBS.

Do you like the show and do you feel it will make it without the co-star Charlie Sheen?

Re: Two and a Half Men may go on without Sheen

I like the show. I thought some of the episodes were getting predicatable, and redundant..

I think the show will fair well without Sheen. IMO, the writers are the ones that bring the laughs fore the most part. I know the actor plays a role on how it's delievered, but I think the writers don't get enough credit..

I do like the new show Mike and Molly.. I just wish they would air more new episodes, then repeats..

Re: Two and a Half Men may go on without Sheen

Helllllllll NO!!!

The ratings will probably be good in the beginning, with all the people tuning in to watch out of curiousity... But that'll fade shortly after the premiere!

Re: Two and a Half Men may go on without Sheen

I can see it now. Charlie dies in a blaze of alcohol and Viagra-fueled glory, and the fat, sarcastic housekeeper sees her chance and moves in, making Jon Cryer's character her bitch.

Ashton Kutcher may replace Sheen. "Signing Mr. Kutcher would give a new lease of life to TV's most-watched comedy, less than a week before CBS is set to announce its fall schedule to advertisers. Both CBS, which airs the show, and Warner Bros., which makes it, have been looking for ways to save the program since firing its original star Charlie Sheen in early March. As part of the deal, Mr. Kutcher would be paid around $1 million per episode." And more at:

who cares.

Parade around a cougars for half and hour and throw in a couple fart jokes and nobody will give a crap about sheen.

Never watch sitcoms anyway...

Another vote for "WHO CARES?!?!?"

Honestly, I have only watched a few episodes of the show (and all admittedly after the recent craziness started) and it just isn't my cup of tea.

I wish Charlie the best because if nothing else...he's good for a real-life laugh once in a while off the set!

Re: Will "Two and a Half Men" make it without Sheen?

The show sucks with or without him, and bottom line, who cares? Tv has gotten so bad it doesn't matter which "fool of the day" is on, it is all insignificant.

Re: Will "Two and a Half Men" make it without Sheen?

I don't give a flying fornication about it. The show Two-and-a-Half Men exemplifies everything that is wrong with Hollywood and the deathgrip that Hollywood has on America when it comes to immorality.

What he said, I think wothout Sheen the show is history, to what some others said about the writers not getting enough credit, this is true, but without a good actor playing the role the writers have nothing.

Re: Two and a Half Men may go on without Sheen

The past decade has taught me not to expect good things from the networks, including the satellite channels.

If it's a relatively good show it will be cancelled in midseason, and if it's mindless drivel, it will run in primetime until the actors die of old age.

Re: Two and a Half Men may go on without Sheen

Supposedly, Ashton Kucher is signing a contract to replace Sheen.
I watch the show if it's on that channel, but it's not on my DVR schedule or anything.
