Will we ever see a truly updated Sako TRG 22/42?

I believe the A1 just added an MLOK handguard and 2 additional color options...

Upgrades to me would be a handguard with an integrated ARCA rail (low hanging fruit), and obviously a way for the user to change barrels as simplified as possible. The M10 is coming on 15 years old now and I have to think they've had a few ideas since then. I for one keep thinking I'll see something from them at SHOT every year...will 2026 be the year?

Hello game warden , I feel your pain I have a new old stock Sako TRG 22 blued barrel black factory stock. I first got to use one of these in the early 1990s and thought the factory stock was marvellous however as I got older and more decrepit I have opted for a Vision Chassis with the Arca rail already fitted. to provide extra comfort and to avoid the exceptionally high priced Sako accessories....( in the U.K. prices are literally eye watering for the folding stock and bipod if you can get one.)

I think Sako are very busy with military contracts now they are bringing out the Sako 62........ but it's just the M10 by another calibre..... don't misunderstand I would have one in a heartbeat if I could especially the sage green!

I highly doubt it.
They are loaded for years with military contracts (M10 rifles) and the TRG-62 project.

There are a few shops that can provide what you are looking for.
And KRG has implemented their SOTIC design for the 22.
