Ok so I've shot guns before with my dad but never really known much about them, including some terms, might screw that up. Anyways I'm looking for a chassis system for a Winchester model 70 XTR chambered in .300 win mag. I inherited it from a great grandfather and it had a bright shiny wood stock on it. Personally I hate the stock and would much rather have a olive green or black tactical chassis system on it. I've seen chassis systems for other model 70s, specifically the model 70 SA, however I have no idea if that would be compatible with my rifle.

Your rifle is just a standard model 70 pushfeed action. Any chassis tha fits a post 64 model 70 will fit.

I own 3 model 70s and they are all in stocks. Yeah there's some chassis that were made for these rifles but there were very few made and no one is making any anymore.
Try MDT or McCrees, I'm sure they were a few of the manufacturers who made a chassis system for the m70. XLR is another one if I recall correctly.
